Suzanne Andora Barron is a writer, Jin Shin Jyutsu and Yoga Practitioner, Meditation Coach, Podcaster
Losing a child is among the most unthinkable, difficult and painful experiences for any parent. Suzanne lost her son from leukemia at age 9.
In her own words, “I didn’t know how to breathe let alone live. Sunlight physically hurt. I was in deep grief for three years. I was lost and uncertain how to live. I wanted to feel happy again—and I would get glimpses of it through our younger son, but I couldn’t sustain it.”
Slowly, through meditation, yoga, prayer and a healing practice called Jin Shin Jyutsu, Suzanne found a different way to approach life.
Living to survive was no longer enough. She wanted to thrive again. She knew that it was possible to see and feel deep joy even in hard things. Things she hadn’t chosen.
“I know deep joy because of our struggles and our grief. My life now is rich, vibrant, and full, not in spite of my loss but because of my loss.”
Suzanne has spent the last 10 years helping empower and inspire women who have suffered loss (all kinds of loss), health crises, feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, depression or simply those who don’t recognize themselves or their lives anymore.
